We all know Beyoncé as a big star, but now her name is set to be synonymous with a teeny tiny puppy – one that’s hoping to enter the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s smallest pooch..

Beyoncé the puppy was born at The Grace Foundation animal rescue centre in Northern California, after her heavily-pregnant mum was found on the streets in San Bernardino.

The last of the litter of five, the miniature dog was so small she could fit into a spoon and had no heartbeat at birth. But little Beyoncé proved she was a ‘survivor’ when vets at the centre were able to restart her heart with chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth.

Now just two-weeks old, little Beyoncé is doing well, but is still not much bigger than a business card, and workers at the shelter have submitted her vital statistics to the Guinness Book of Records to hear if she really is the smallest puppy out there.
