With Miss Piggy being announced as the face of MAC this week, and Kermit the Frog speaking at the Oxford Union, we thought the Muppet Show clan had long gone their seperate ways. But lo and behold - a trailer for The Muppets film popped into our inboxes this morning, announcing that the furry gang are set to reunite on the big screen once more.

Starring Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Animal (and supporting humans Jason Segel and Amy Adams),the film sees the Muppets reunite to stage a telethon to raise $10 million needed to save the Muppet Theatre. But with Miss Piggy a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, Gonzo a high-powered plumbing magnate, and Fozzie part of casino tribute band "the Moopets" - will they be able to put their differences aside and work together again? Judging by the trailer, the film looks set to be a classic Muppets affair - featuring some amusing celebrity cameos, and chickens dancing to Cee Lo Green.

The Muppets hits UK cinemas on February 10 2012.
