Welcome to your newest toilet phobia - the flying portaloo.

A woman who was taking care of business at a fish festival in Cornwall suddenly found her loo lifted into the air by a forklift truck.

The unnamed woman was at the Newlyn Fish Festival on Bank Holiday Monday, when the driver of the truck moved the loo without checking if it was empty first, the Exeter Express and Echo reported.

She emerged uninjured at a different part of the harbour and was said to have been "shocked" by her experience.

Rob Parsons, harbourmaster at Newlyn, told BBC Radio Cornwall: “She got in the loo and then it was picked up and taken to the other side of the harbour with her in it.

“I think she was suffering from a bit of shock or she thought she had teleported across to the other side of the harbour.”

Mark Kempthorne, director of toilet provider Andyloos, said: “It does happen quite a bit to be honest - I've done it a few times.”
