From Sia to Michelle Obama, James Corden has brought us nothing but incredible Carpool Karaoke guests since he began his stint on The Late Late Show.

And now, finally, he has shared a car ride with Mother Monster herself.

Oh yes, Lady Gaga’s Carpool Karaoke has finally arrived – and her stint in Corden’s car is, without a doubt, one of our favourites to date.

Dressed up to the nines in a glittering gold ensemble (complete with oversized pussy-bow), the Bad Romance star showcased her impressive range of vocals with dexterity and ease, taking viewers on a journey through her catalogue of killer hits.

Think Just Dance, Poker Face, and The Edge of Glory, to name just a few.

And, going a step further than any guest has done previously, Gaga even took the wheel for a while - although, seeing as she’d only passed her driving test a few weeks previously, Corden felt it necessary to don the appropriate safety gear.

Watch Lady Gaga’s Carpool Karaoke below:

From the Superbowl to her songwriting skills, Gaga chatted openly to Corden throughout their time together – and was clearly pleased when he donned some of her most famous outfits to date as part of the skit (our favourite, naturally, being that iconic meat dress).

However it was her soulful rendition of Million Reasons that truly stole the show.

Donning a pink cowboy hat for the song, Gaga seemed to show viewers a glimpse of the woman behind the persona; the emotion etched on Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta’s face as she sung “I’ve got a hundred million reasons to walk away, but, baby, I just need one good one to stay” was palpable for all to see.

"That made me cry," said one viewer, writing in a comment beneath the skit on YouTube.

"Omg that was too much," agreed another, adding: "I felt every single word."

Corden’s face said it all during the segment; he could be seen sneaking awestruck glimpses at the award-winning singer as she struck out for those high notes – and landed them with pitch perfect ease.

In short, Gaga’s episode of Carpool Karaoke is compelling, emotional, and ridiculously good fun, all at the same time.

We have a feeling it may just prove to be the best 15 minutes you’ll have today.
