A Night Out for Laura

hero.jpg

Back in October Stylist covered Laura Smith’s brave battle after being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Since then, her friends and family decided more had to be done to alleviate the financial and emotional stress that Laura was suffering from in the course of treatment.

On 5 December, they held a charity auction, entitled A Night Out for Laura, to help raise funds for her treatment.

The event was held at the Adam Street Members Club and items kindly donated for auction included tickets to the BAFTAs, a luxury dinner at the Zetter Hotel and exclusive Jo Wood products.

The success of the event depended on support of its sponsors, which included Orange, Sony, Samsung, O2, Borkowski, Skywrite PR, Lexis Agency, Beam Agency, The Cult PR, House PR, Kazoo, Spotify, Rehab London, The Telegraph, Empire Magazine and Wired, Margaret London, Jo Wood and Everythingeverywhere. The beer and cider for the evening was kindly provided by Brewdog and Kopparberg.

A Night Out for Laura was a huge success and raised money for both Laura and MacMillan cancer support.

Laura was touched by the result and shared her appreciation in a special video message. She also announced the brilliant news that she is responding to treatment and should finish chemotherapy by April next year. Watch the video, below.
