We hate to be the bearers of disheartening news, but there’s a semi-aquatic mammal in Düsseldorf who – if his Facebook account is to believed – is probably more popular than you.
Posting daily updates about his eventful life at the city’s Aquazoo attraction, “Nemo the little Otter” has attracted more than 1,000 friends in the short time he’s been social networking, and become a sensation in the German media.
Lately, alongside the usual endearing photos and “I ate a fish pie” updates, he’s taken to dispensing instructive otter facts in English and German, leading some cynics to suspect that his profile may in fact be managed by one of the park’s zoologists.
