Adele gets to stage 'hidden in a box' so fans don't notice her

Turning up at a concert is a pretty exciting experience, no matter how you do it. After all, you’ve spent ages on multiple booking sites in a bid to get the tickets and now you’re about to see one of your idols in the flesh.

Unfortunately, with arenas being so big, many of us can only just about make them out on the stage while we dance along to their latest hits – and that’s only if you squint.

However, if you’ve ever been to see Adele in concert, then you may actually have been a lot closer to the Hello singer than you might have realised. A lot closer.

The 28-year-old’s secret journey to the stage was recently unveiled in a YouTube video – and, as it turns out, Adele clambers into a big black box before each show.

She’s then wheeled through the actual arena, just inches away from die-hard fans, to the stage.

A source told The Sun: “Adele sits in the box for several minutes as she is taken from her dressing room right to the centre of the crowd.

“Most of her fans… just assume it's a piece of kit they are moving but… it's actually their idol… sitting in a pretty small box a few feet from them.”

Watch it for yourself below:

So why the box?

Well, for safety purposes; there are no tunnels to help Adele get on stage, and there have been lots of those stadium gigs (all sold out) on her world tour. Better to hide in a box than strut straight through the crowds and send fans wild.

“How I get to this stage makes me so sweaty. I’m drenched,” she told the crowd in Sydney. “I can’t tell you til the end [of the tour] — you’ll laugh when you find out.”
