Adele helps fan propose to her boyfriend live on stage

adele success.jpg

Adele’s world tour was always going to be a headline grabber, but the singer kicked things off in style last night at Belfast’s SSE Arena, by helping a fan propose to her boyfriend.

Hayley, from Essex, joined Adele on stage to ask boyfriend Neil to marry her - for the second time that day.

According to the fan, she had popped the question earlier in the day, to which he had replied a vague ‘maybe’.

Clearly not content with that answer, Hayley then took full advantage of Adele's open call for any women in the crowd wanting to pop the question (it was February 29, after all).

This time, her proposal came with star backing.

Witnessed by the entire arena audience and of course, caught on film too, Hayley takes to the stage and explains that she’s asked Neil to marry her once already, but he’s yet to give a definitive answer.

Adele then takes over.

Calling out to Neil, Adele says: “You need to say a proper yes, bruv. You have to say yes.” The singer then gets the crowd involved with a rousing: “After three, everyone say ‘Come on Neil!’ One, two, three…”

Safe to say, Neil said yes, he and Hayley hugged it out, and Adele has invited herself to the wedding. Watch the whole thing unfold here…

Adele also told the crowd that just hours ahead of the show, she had thought the whole tour was doomed.

Referencing her famous nerves, the singer confessed: “I woke up sounding like Arnie. My voice was so deep because I slept with the air con on my hotel room.

“My kid was being a nightmare, and then there was a spillage at Gatwick and I thought my boyfriend wasn’t gonna get here – I thought the whole tour was doomed.

“I’ve been shitting myself - I had severe bowel movements. But I’ve had an Imodium.”

Adele, please never change.
