Beyoncé to do surprise performance at the Brits

beyonce.jpg

The Brit award gods have clearly been listening to our prayers as it's been announced that Beyoncé is set to do a surprise performance at tonight's event *runs around screaming*.

Comedian and presenter of the awards show, James Corden, revealed the exciting news in an interview on BBC Radio 2 this morning and it's been confirmed the singer has just touched down in the UK.

While he had to check with his PR before he let slip the secret, he also announced that she will be performing a song she's never sung live before.

Beyoncé is clearly a lover of surprises as she stunned fans when she released in full her unexpected self-titled album on Friday 13 December, along with all videos for fans to download as a whole package. Perhaps she'll be treating us to one of her new tracks.

The singer was due to perform last year but her new material wasn't quite ready, so the last time Beyoncé took to the stage at the awards show was 10 years ago with her debut solo track Crazy In Love.

As if the night couldn't get any better, also rumoured to perform is Prince (we're totally not jealous about that one. Can you tell we're lying?)

But in light of the fact that Queen Bey is going to be there, we thought it would be particularly prudent to give you an example of what tonight's show could be like with a look at some of her best performances.

Also set to perform are the Arctic Monkeys, Bastille, Bruno Mars, Disclosure and Ellie Goulding.

You can watch the awards from 8pm tonight on ITV
