Watch: sneak peek at James Corden and Britney Spears’ Carpool Karaoke session

We've watched the likes of Sia, Adele, Gwen Stefani, and Michelle Obama sing their hearts out in James Corden's car. And, yes, we loved them all.

But our inner 90s kid has been crying out for something very special on Carpool Karaoke - and now all of our dreams are about to come true.

Yup, that's right; Britney Spears, the pop princess herself, is geared up and ready to go for a ride in the carpool lane with our very own Smithy - and, yes, we do have a teaser trailer.

In the clip, which you can see below, we see James Corden thank the Lucky singer for helping him get to work.

“This traffic is just gridlock everywhere,” he adds, before switching on the radio.

Cue the pair launching into a rendition of her mega-hit 2003 song, Toxic – complete with dance moves.

It’s not long before the conversation starts flowing, although things get a little awkward when Corden asks a few questions about the 34-year-old’s young sons.

"Have they seen your Vegas show?” he asks. “I saw my mum in her underwear once when I was, like, 11."

“You’re so dirty,” laughs Britney, as she playfully slaps his arm.

“I’m not,” he objects. “I can’t shake the image from my brain.”

Watch the teaser below:

Okay, fine - we don't see Britney singing all that much. But we imagine - and hope - that she's just warming herself up for a full-blown rendition of Hit Me Baby (One More Time).

If this Crazy trailer has left you crying “Gimme More” (sorry) the full session can be seen on The Late Late Show this Thursday (25 August) on CBS. The entire episode will be available to watch in the UK on Sky's On Demand the following day.

In the meantime, Britney fans have a lot to look forward to this week.

Her comeback album Glory is out this Friday (26 August) and she’s also set to perform at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards 2016.

It will be her first appearance in almost a decade.

Britney is the latest in a long list of stars to join Corden on Carpool Karaoke; she follows the likes of Michelle Obama, Sia, Adele, Coldplay, One Direction, and many more.
