Carey Mulligan is favourite to play Hillary Clinton

Carey Mulligan has been tipped as the favourite to play Hillary Clinton in the upcoming biopic, Rodham.

While other actresses had rumoured to be in the running, such as Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Chastain and Emma Stone, the British Oscar-winner seems to be the name on everybody's lips.

The script has been written by Young Il Kim and is meant to be one of the hottest in Hollywood and was even featured on the prestigious 2012 Black List (a list of the best screenplays yet to be made).

The story will focus on Clinton's early career as a young lawyer on the committee involved in President Richard Nixon's impeachment and Watergate, as well as her relationship with husband, and future president, Bill Clinton.

However, the Hollywood Reporter states that sources on the production say that no decision has been made as of yet and others are still being considered.

What do you think? Is Mulligan the right person to play Clinton?
