Celia Walden, journalist and wife of Piers Morgan, has given birth to the couple's first child. The baby girl, named Elise, was born at the Ceders Sinai hospital in California
Although this is Walden's first pregnancy, Elsie is Piers Morgan's fourth child - having had three sons (Spencer, Stanley and Albert) from his previous marriage. Following the delivery, Morgan tweeted, ""It's true. I've become a dad for the 4th time, to a baby girl called Elise. She's absurdly beautiful, and utterly adorable."
The couple first met in 2006 and were married in a low-key country ceremony in June 2010. Walden, a former Daily Telegraph journalist, and Morgan split their time between the United States and Britain. Morgan is due to come to Britain shortly to give evidence before the Leveson Inquiry into phone hacking.
