Beauty and the Beast is the latest Disney classic to the get the live-action treatment. With a stellar cast including Emma Watson and Dan Stephens - as Belle and the Beast - the movie has already earned serious hype, despite the fact it's not coming to cinemas until March 2017.

Disney has already unveiled a mesmerising first trailer, featuring a peek at the Beast's castle, the image of the rose and a tantalising glimpse of Watson as Belle.

Now to keep us on our toes, a new teaser clip has been released. It features behind the scenes insights and reveals some of the updated animation.

Following on from Watson's silent appearance in the initial trailer, the teaser reveals what she's like in character. We see her conversation with Stephens as the Beast backstage, as the pair run through lines as part of a table reading. The chemistry is palpable.

We also get a tour of the grand ballroom with its epic chandeliers, and get to see Cogsworth and Lumière's (voiced by Ian McKellen and Ewan McGregor) new CGI makeovers.

Director Bill Condon also features in the clip, talking about why now was the right time to remake the iconic film.

“When something is so perfect, why get near it? The answer is, technology has caught up to the ideas that were introduced in that movie,” he says.

The clip is part of a bonus feature which you can watch in full on the 25th Anniversary Edition of the original animated film, which will be released on 20 September. We're praying it features a sneak peek at Belle's famous yellow gown.

For now, you can watch the teaser clip below.
