First look at Lena Dunham in Scandal

The first pictures of Lena Dunham playing a guest role in Scandal have been released.

The 28-year-old Girls star will make an appearance in the political drama, which stars Kerry Washington as crisis management expert, Olivia Pope, in an episode entitled It's Good To Be Kink airing on March 19.

In the episode Lena plays a woman who is intending to expose the sex secrets of the most powerful elite in Washington D.C.

The photos show her character wearing a blue dress, a dark coat, and a black tote bag - classic attire for anyone stomping around D.C. and facing off against Olivia Pope's gladiators. She is also sporting a wig of straight brown hair.

While we don't know Lena's character name yet, we do know that she has been nicknamed Kinky Sue, after the star revealed it in a selfie of her and Kerry Washington on her Instagram page yesterday.

This will be a dream come true for Lena, who has spoken about her love for the show in past interviews.

Speaking on the podcast Grantland's B.S. Report, the actress revealed that her "life's great passion is the idea of being a guest-star on Scandal. I want to be like, a senator who did something wrong".

In March last year, Lena even did a spoof version of the show for Saturday Night Live, in which she played a new member of Olivia Pope's team, who can't handle that fast-paced nature of crisis management.

However, that's not the only link that Lena has to the show. She also hired the real-life inspiration for Olivia Pope, crisis manager Judy Smith, in order to help manage her image after the release of her best-selling memoir Not That Kind of Girl led to allegations of child molestation in a controversy last year.
