This flight attendant just recreated Britney Spears’ Toxic video dance routine and it’s magical

Britney Spears, may God bless and keep her, starred in some iconic music videos back in the day. There was the questionable-but-legendary schoolgirl outfit of ...Baby One More Time. The red pleather catsuit and confusing Titanic-inspired subplot of Oops! … I Did It Again. And, of course, the 3:31 minutes of airborne magic that was the Toxic video, in which Britney played a flight attendant who would definitely, 100% get fired for inappropriate behaviour in real life.

Now, an AirAsia flight attendant has recreated the Toxic dance routine– and he’s putting our own Britney impersonations to shame.

In a video posted on Twitter, Assraf Nasir is seen lip-syncing along to Spears’ 2003 hit on an empty Airbus A330.

À la Britney, Nasir sings into the intercom, struts down the aisle pushing a food trolley, and recreates some pivotal moves from the original Toxic dance routine – although he stops short of dragging a passenger into the toilets for a kiss.

You can watch the short-but-sweet video below:

The video has gone viral since being uploaded onto Twitter by Nasir’s friend and colleague Farhan Rzman, racking up almost 9 million views.

And, rather brilliantly, Nasir’s dance moves have even got the attention of his boss.

Tony Fernandes, the CEO of AirAsia, reposted the video on Instagram with the caption: “Classic… The talent in Airasia never fails to amaze me. @assrafnasir is the best. Love it that staff can just have fun and be themselves.”

Never change, Nasir.
