Warning: Watching Gwen Stefani bring a young fan on stage may make you cry

Gwen Stefani has won our love all over again after making the night - nay life - of a young fan at one of her concerts in a powerful stand against bullying.

The Carpool Karaoke sensation broke off from her set in Florida on Wednesday night when a poster in the crowd caught her eye.

“My son was bullied from first to fifth grade,” it read. “He would come home every day upset, but he’d go to his room, listen to your music, and smile.”

Stefani read the message aloud over her microphone before demanding the young boy behind the story join her on stage.

The youngster, 12-year-old Brandon Burford, was lifted over the crowds to the Make Me Like You star, who held up his hands like a champ in front of an applauding audience.

Stefani then posed for pictures with an emotional Brandon before giving him a bear hug and a motivational chat.

Stefani shared a video of the heartwarming meeting on Instagram with a message that demanded “zero tolerance for bullies,” and touched on a difficult period period in her own life:

About 3 years ago when things were hard in my life I prayed to God everyday that I could get a chance to use my gift that God gave me and make a difference in some way in this world - last night this little guy was the answer to my prayers  #zerotoleranceforbullies #onelove #thisiswhatthetruthfeelslike Gx

The singer, 46, also shared a selfie she took with Brandon backstage, simply captioned “#cuteness”.

"I cried more when she told me to get up there," Brandon told WPTV of the big moment with his hero. "I didn't think it was really happening, it was unbelievable."

Stefani is one of several high-profile names to act against bullying in recent weeks. Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones was forced to quit Twitter because of racist cyberbullying last month and called on the social network to do more to stamp out hate.

An emotional Jennifer Aniston spoke out against cyber-bullying in front of an audience of young fans at the Giffoni Film Festival in Italy, calling trolls "cowardly," while Prince William released an anti-bullying video for Stand Up To Bullying Day
