Britney Spears' Carpool Karaoke video is here and it's everything

Britney Spears James Corden.jpg

We’ve been singing Britney songs at the top of our voices ever since her trailer for the nation’s favourite car journey was released on Tuesday and finally, the wait is over.

Last night, The Late Late Show released the full 10-minute clip of the Lucky singer rocking out to our favourite 90s hits when she joined the likes of Gwen Stefani, Adele and Michelle Obama as the latest Carpool Karaoke guest – and host James Corden didn’t intend to waste a minute of it.

From marriage to alias hotel names, the pair cover it all in the video, which you can watch below, starting with the question that spurred many a late-night teenage debate: what is Oops! I Did it Again actually about?

But if you were hoping for the biggest revelation of the past decade you're out of luck, as it turns out Britney doesn’t know either: “I think it’s just a song,” she shrugs.

The mother-of-two also opened up about wanting more children: “like three more,” she confesses, before adding, “I just have to find the right guy first.”

However the search may not be that straight forward as, in between belting out some of her top tunes including Womanizer and Toxic, the 34-year-old muses: “I think I might not ever go to men again… I’m just done with men.”

In fact the singer, whose marriage to childhood friend, Jason Alexander, infamously lasted just 55 hours, informed James that she doesn’t “believe in marriage anymore.” Though she is up for a bit of ‘french kissing’.

The journey wasn’t all serious though as during one segment, which has our 90s nostalgia doing overtime, the pair are both dressed as a 19-year-old Britney from her ...Baby One More Time video.

Donning white shirts and grey cardigans they dance their way through the 1998 hit. The CBS host goes the whole hog wearing a blonde plaited wig, though Britney seems a little more bashful about it.

And there’s just enough time before the pair arrive at the CBS Studios in Los Angeles for the Toxic singer to regale us with examples of her alias names for hotel check-ins. Revealing her mischievous sense of humour she lists: “Anita Dick” and “Alotta Warmhart.”

“I might just start checking in as, ‘It’s Britney bitch’,” Corden chimes in. Us too James, us too.
