Take a tour inside Taylor Swift's palatial Beverly Hills mansion

If you had all the money in the world where would you buy a home?

With a reported earnings of $80 million (£53 million) between June 2014 and June 2015, Taylor Swift is one woman who can answer that question. And what's her choice?

A Georgian mansion located in two acres behind the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, which she's just bought for $25 million (£16.4m)

The luxury property might be massive, measuring around 11,000 square feet, but it's full of cosy touches such as an intimate living room featuring a wall of book shelves.

It also boasts six bedrooms, a spiral staircase, a sunken outdoor tennis court, screening room and library.

The estate was built in 1934 for film mogul Samuel Goldwyn of film studios Metro Goldwyn Mayer and has a history of intimate soirees and lavish celebrations for the entertainment industry's elite.

No doubt Swift will live up to that reputation. You only need to scan a few of the star's Instagram posts to know her home is a hub for her star-studded circle of girlfriends including Karlie Kloss, Lena Dunham and Ellie Goulding. They've been pictured cooking, decorating cakes and spending Thanksgiving together in Swift's humble abode.

We're sure they'll get first dibs on the special guest apartment which comes with a private entrance in Swift's new property.

Variety reports that as Swift’s fame and earnings have grown, so has the size and price of her residences. In 2013, she purchased a seaside retreat in Rode Island for $17.75m (£11.6) and last year she paid Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson $20m (£13m) for a suburban penthouse in lower Manhattan which boasts nine bedrooms, eight bathrooms and a 1,200-square-foot living and dining room.

Take a tour of Swift's latest purchase before it hits her Instagram page...
