Mindy Kaling's birthday: the most celeb bash yet?

We all like to drag out our birthdays - having a small celebration on the actual day, then another that weekend, then a meal with your family, and then - oh why not, another one with those who couldn't make it.

But the A-list take this habit to another level. Of course.

This week Mindy Kaling has been celebrating her birthday, with a trip to Las Vegas. She and the writers of her hit show The Mindy Project have been frolicking around Sin City having a whale of a time.

The whole thing has been documented on Instagram and Twitter. How could it not be? We can't help but feeling a little jealous - visiting sky-high bars, a surprise helicopter trip to the Grand Canyon and being wished happy birthday by a host of stars seem like a fantastic way to celebrate if you ask us.

She then enjoyed a meal at Gordon Ramsey's steakhouse with a huge group of friends

But Mindy isn't alone in making a huge fuss of her special day. Both Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham's 40th birthdays were celebrated in a well-documented, celebrity-adorned fashion.

VB tweeted out a picture of her birthday party featuring none other than Spice Girls Emma Bunton and Mel C, but hinted that she spent the day itself with her family and David Beckham.

Kate Moss celebrated with a star-studded birthday dinner at 34 restaurant in central London, attended by Nick Grimshaw, Sadie Frost, Stella McCartney and John Galliano.

Just having a trip down to the pub would be out of the question.
