She's said to be unlucky in love, but Jennifer Aniston has at least one lifelong and devoted fan - in the form of fellow Hollywood star Reese Witherspoon.

Witherspoon, 42, was unable to contain her admiration for Aniston at event celebrating the achievements of women in Hollywood earlier this week.

"You just want to get your nails done with her and you want to make out with her at the same time - at least I do," she told journalists at the annual Women In Hollywood tribute in Beverley Hills.

The Oscar-winning actress went onto heap praise on Aniston's "combination of sex appeal and complete lovability."

The pair got to know one another when Witherspoon performed a cameo on Friends in 1999, in the role of Aniston's bratty younger sister.

"I was super-duper excited," Witherspoon said, recalling the guest appearance. "But I forgot something crucial ... I had never been on TV in front of a live audience and I totally froze."

She said Aniston came to her rescue be advising her, "don't try to be perfect, just try to be yourself."

The two actresses are now firm friends, along with other members of Aniston's circle including Courteney Cox, Sheryl Crow and Isla Fisher.
