Jessica Simpson wants to have baby in heels

Pregnancy is challenging time for any woman’s wardrobe but Jessica Simpson has vowed not to give up her glamorous ways or, more specifically, her heels.

The singer, who revealed she was expecting her first child with fiancé Eric Johnson in October, said to US Magazine that she wanted to give birth in her favourite Yves Saint Laurent heels.

Simpson is already a successful shoe designer herself, for her fashion line the Jessica Simpson Collection. TIME magazine reported earlier this year that the singer’s fashion ventures would make her the first celebrity to earn over $1 billion in sales.

Her statement follows in the footsteps of other celebrity mums-to-be who refuse to put down the Loubs – from a blooming Beyoncé to actress Amanda Holden. Simpson’s chosen YSL pair come in at a modest four inches.

The singer has generated a huge amount of press attention throughout her pregnancy, namely for refusing to confirm or deny that she was expecting despite a flourishing bump. Simpson finally announced the news via Twitter, tweeting “I’m going to be a mummy!”
