'Karmically, they'll be retributed'

Last night, Lord Sugar gave mouthy Melissa Cohen the boot from the boardroom, despite her grand claim that she could ‘sell ice to the eskimos’. Having listened to her bizarre choice of sentence structures for the last four weeks, Stylist looks back at some of our favourite Melissaisms...

1. Melissa loved her made up words. The examples are endless, but we particularly enjoyed ‘managence’ and ‘saleser’. At least we can hazard a guess at what she meant...

2. Upon hearing her unlucky fate in the boardroom, a peeved Melissa spat, ‘Karmically, they will be retributed’. That's normal-person speak for 'someone's going to get their comeuppance'.

3. ‘I’ve always maintained my professionality,’ says Mel. We suspect the other stars of The Apprentice may disagree.

4. Her parting shot to project manager Jamie? ‘Save your skin and come out my face.’ A rather unique way of asking someone to leave you alone - or else.

5. In Melissa’s world, there’s ‘no room for manoeuvrement.' Her boardroom motto seems to be 'why use a regular word when you can add random syllables onto the end?'.

6. In episode three, Melissa adopted a peculiar selling strategy which involved speaking French to a bemused English couple. If you're all out of new words and phrases, just turn to Gallic.

7. We think Melissa’s post-firing hissy fit, during which she eloquently told her ex-colleagues, ‘thanks for ganging up on me you horrible people’, deserves an honourable mention.

8. Has Melissa learned any lessons since appearing on The Apprentice? Apparently not. She appeared on BBC 5 Live, and used the non-word ‘disguiseful’ in her first sentence.
