Khloé Kardashian shuts down reporter who tried to victim-blame sister Kim for Paris robbery

In October 2016, Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in Paris.

Five masked men, reportedly posing as police officers, gained entry to the reality star’s apartment, tied her up and held a gun to her head before leaving her locked in her bathroom – and stealing almost $11 million worth of jewellery.

Last week, police confirmed that they have now filed charges against four suspects arrested in connection with the home invasion.

So, when Khloé Kardashian appeared on the Today show as part of the publicity tour for her new E! series, Revenge Body, it’s unsurprising that the focus soon turned to her sister, Kim.

Speaking about the robbery, the youngest of the Kardashian sisters said: “It’s traumatising and terrifying. But, genuinely, that’s when you get down on your knees, and you pray.

“You thank the Lord that nothing worse happened.”

As part of the live television interview, reporter Natalie Morales went on to ask if the horrific heist was a “wake up call” for Kim and the family

“By living so publicly... [did you realise] there are the consequences of sometimes being so social and out there?” she said.

Her remarks echoed victim-blaming comments made on social media, which saw many suggest that Kim had brought the robbery on herself by ‘flaunting’ her wealth on Instagram.

However, despite the delicate phrasing. Kardashian immediately recognised what Morales was trying to do – and shut her down almost instantly

“No, I don’t believe that because people show their lives more, that they deserve, or should have consequences like getting robbed,” she replied.

Meanwhile Kim has broken her silence on the robbery for the first time, via a promo video for the upcoming series of her family’s reality show, Keeping up with the Kardashians.

In the clip (which can be viewed above), Kim is seen tearing up while recalling the scary incident.

“They're going to shoot me in the back,” she tells her sisters. “There's no way out.

“It makes me so upset to think about it.”

Keeping up with the Kardashians is set to air on E! in March 2017.
