Kim Kardashian West confirms she's pregnant with her second child

Kim Kardashian West is pregnant with her second child with rapper husband Kayne West.

In a teaser of the next episode of of Keeping Up With the Kardashians which aired during last night's mid-season finale in the US, Kim told sister Khloe: "I just got the blood test back, and I am pregnant."

The clip also shows Kim, 34, hearing the news during a doctor's appointment.

The latest run of the reality television show, which is in its 10th season, has documented the star's fertility struggles to get pregnant for a second time.

"We are trying. We try every single day. You can't try harder than we try," she told E! News. "It's getting exhausting. He (Kanye West) always says, 'Trying for baby No. 2 isn't as fun as trying to baby No. 1.'"

"But we're literally trying everything that we can to make it happen, so I'm to the point now where it's not as stressful to me. And maybe that's when they say it happens."

She has revealed that an attempt to get pregnant through IVF had failed.

The star gave birth to 23-month-old North on 15 June 2013 in Los Angeles.

The couple married in May 2014 in a lavish three day ceremony in Paris, Versailles and Florence. It's unknown when their second child is due.
