It has been revealed that singer Lily Allen has given birth to her first child - a baby girl - with husband Sam Cooper on Friday evening

A source close to the singer speaking to The Daily Mail revealed that the baby's delivery had been "all good" while Lily herself tweeted the words "totes amaze" shortly before she was expected to have given birth.

Although a spokesperson for Allen had declined to comment on the news, tributes have been pouring in for The Fear singer, including one tweet from her ex-partner Seb Chew which read, "sending out love to lily, sam and mini cooper ... YES."

The news will be welcomed after Lily revealed earlier this month that she was suffering from Braxton Hicks, more commonly known as false labour pains, which often leaves women confused and uncomfortable in the later stages of their pregnancy. The Allen camp have also been on high-alert during the singer's pregnancy following her devastating miscarriage last year.

Lily has rarely been seen out in public in during her final trimester, although she did take the time to tweet a picture of herself at Halloween, standing in front of a pumpkin showing off her sizable bump.

She announced her pregnancy earlier this year during a speech at her wedding to Sam Cooper. Underneath her Delphine Manivet wedding gown, the singer showed off a barely perceptible bump despite being over 12 weeks pregnant. Lily decided to take a break from music last December and has been working with her sister, Sarah Allen, on running Lucy in Disguise - a vintage clothing shop in London.
