Lily Allen ties the knot

Lily-Allen-hero.jpg

It was smiles all round this weekend as Lily Allen wed her partner Sam Cooper in a beautiful country ceremony in the heart of the Cotswolds.

Around 100 guests, including comedian Harry Enfield and artist Damien Hirst, attended Saturday's service at St. James the Great Church in the idyllic village of Cranham near Stroud.

The 26-year-old bride chose a £2,500 vintage-inspired lace wedding gown and headdress by French designer Delphine Manivet for the occasion, topped off with Rupert Sanderson heels and a bouquet with bride and groom puppets.

She was walked down the aisle by her actor father Keith Allen and bridesmaids, including childhood friend and TV host Miquita Oliver.

The couple, who have been together for three years, smiled broadly as they emerged from the church after the hour-long ceremony as man and wife, cheered on by guests and onlookers.

The "cricket tea" reception took place in the garden of their nearby 17th Century country home - and it was here where Sam, a painter and decorator, delighted friends and family by announcing that Lily was at least three months pregnant. The news was especially welcome and poignant because Lily suffered a miscarriage late last year.

The couple plan to honeymoon at Glastonbury, where they first met, with close friends accompanying them in luxury tepees.

Come see photos of Lily's gorgeous wedding dress and the happy newlyweds, below.
