'Long hair, don't care' Madonna debuts hairy armpits

madonnahero.jpg

Madonna has posted a hairy underarm selfie on Instragram, with the message "Long hair...... Don't Care!!!!!! #artforfreedom #rebelheart #revolutionoflove"

The 55-year-old singer posed for the snap wearing a fetishistic black bra and bow tie and with her hair scraped back into a bun.

It attracted almost 30,000 Instagram ♥s but some of her followers were not impressed by her new look.

Laura Huggins posted "this is awf!!!!! Why??!!"

Another fan simply offered an encouraging "Yeah."

The Material Girl had initially posted a provocative black and white rear view snap of her in fishnets, with the caption "Looking for Love in all the wrong places! Fear makes you focus... #rebelheart".

However, she removed that image and replaced it with the armpit shot.

Whether the singer's underarm hair in the snap is actually her own is debatable.

Julia Roberts caused a sensation back in 1999 when she proudly bared her real underam hair at the premiere of Notting Hill.

A few days before Madonna posted her hairy armpit shot, the pop star dressed as Game of Thrones character the Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen, for the Jewish holiday Purim.
