Madonna has started a girl gang and we want to join

Last month saw the release of Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood video with a cast that rivalled the red carpet at the Oscars; including Lena Dunham, Cara Delevingne and Jessica Alba, among others.

This week, there’s a new posse of women on the scene and it’s fronted by 56-year-old Madonna.

Team Madonna, scraped from the cream of the A-list crop, includes Nicki Minaj, Rita Ora, Miley Cyrus, Beyonce and Katy Perry.

It’s believed that only Minaj will be singing alongside Madonna, but the others will appear as characters in the video for the song Bitch I'm Madonna.

Madge Army was revealed on Instagram (as was Taylor’s group) with the caption: “Video coming soon! Just tryin to make it perfect for all of you (…) we are hard werking bitches! #bitchimmadonna” (sic).

The Queen of Pop later posted a teaser clip of the video on Instagram, which suggests we are in for a treat - set at the scene of an abandoned house party - but carefully gives nothing away.

The video is expected to drop on Jay-Z’s music streaming service, Tidal, in the next month.

Well, we certainly can’t wait.
