Mean Girls star gives birth to baby girl – and reveals her totally fetch name

mean girls.jpg

Mean Girls fans, it’s almost impossible to believe that the teen comedy came out 12 years ago.

And now it’s now been announced that one of the Plastics has officially become a cool mom.

There we were thinking we couldn’t feel any older, eh?

Yes, Lacey Chabert – aka the very same Gretchen Wieners whose father invented the toaster strudel – has announced the birth of her first child with husband Dave Nehdar.

Writing about how she felt when she first held her newborn daughter, Chabert explained: "And then my soul saw you and it kind of went, 'Oh, there you are. I've been looking for you.'"

She went on to dub her littler girl’s birth as “the best day of my life”, adding that her “precious angel” is her “heart’s deepest dream come true”.

“Welcome to this big beautiful world sweet girl,” she wrote.

The real-life Gretchen also confirmed that she’s given her baby a totally fetch name, too: Julia Mimi Bella.

The name Julia is a Latin one, meaning ‘young’, while the more modern moniker of Mimi means “wished-for child”.

Bella, of course, means “beautiful”.

Chabert confirmed her pregnancy back in February, employing her dog to help her share the news with her fans.

She shared a photo of the pooch dressed in a top emblazoned with the words: “my mom is having a baby and all I get is this silly shirt.”

Chabert captioned it: “Kitty doesn't seem as excited as we are about this...I'm pregnant!

“My husband and I are thrilled and so thankful.”

Just like Gretchen would if she were to become have a baby (or so we’d like to imagine, anyway), Chabert surrounded herself with her best girlfriends during her pregnancy.

And, back in July, she enjoyed a baby shower with the likes of Haylie Duff, Beverly Mitchell, and Amy Davidson.

Speaking to People about the strong women in her life, Chabert said: “I was overwhelmed with joy to have been surrounded by so much love at my shower.

“When I look around at my group of friends, I realize how blessed I am to have such wonderful people in my life to support me as I become a mother."

Love you ladies!

She added: “My daughter is fortunate to have these individuals influence her life as well.”
