Jazmin Grace Grimaldi (24) is the daughter of Prince Albert II of Monaco and granddaughter of legendary Grace Kelly and Prince Ranier of Monaco.
Her grandmother, Kelly, was known for her acting and singing, as well as her classically beautiful looks and amiable personality. Her talents attracted the attention of Hollywood directors like Alfred Hitchcock, who cast her in his most popular films, including Rear Window, Dial M for Murder and To Catch a Thief.
She was also adored in the fashion world, becoming a muse to Hermès, lending her name to the iconic ‘Kelly bag’.
Jazmin’s mother, Tamara Rotolo, met her father, Prince Albert II (Kelly’s son) on holiday on the Côte d'Azur in 1991 and enjoyed a brief relationship. As the couple were never married, Tamara decided to raise Jazmin outside of the confines of the royal family.
Jazmin has lived away from the spotlight but has told Harper’s Bazaar that she's:
"Ready to step out and share my story a little bit further."
Exclusive: Meet #GraceKelly's granddaughter #JazminGraceGrimaldi. She opens up to @RomyOltuski in our August 2015 issue about her royal family of #Monaco. Read the story now on BAZAAR.com. Styling by @JoannaHillman, photos by @MichaelAvedonPhotography.

Growing up in in U.S Orange County, Jazmin enjoyed a normal childhood, and didn’t entirely understand the enormity of her grandmother’s fame, saying:
“When I was little, my mom would show me photographs of her, but I didn’t understand that she was this huge icon.”
Kelly died at the age of 52 in a car crash in 1982.
Despite being away from her royal lineage, it was clear from an early age that Jazmin had her grandmother’s performing blood, enjoying acting and singing. Speaking of Kelly, Jazmin told the publication:
“One of my first and fondest memories involving my grandmother was watching High Society. It was the first time I realised we had a connection. I’m passionate about acting, singing, and dancing,” says Jazmin.

Grace Kelly’s appearance in High Society, alongside Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra was one of her most loved Hollywood moments, one that seemingly touched Jazmin as it did many of Kelly’s fans:
“It was a real goose-bumps moment for me,” she says.
Today, Jazmin lives in New York and is pursuing her dream of becoming an actor.
Although her mother has always been open about her ancestry, it wasn’t until 2006 that Prince Albert II formally acknowledged Jazmin as his daughter. However, as her parents were not married, Jazmin is not heir to the throne.
At the age of 11, Jazmin visited Monaco and began to bond with her father:
“Not having that figure around, I missed that. It’s wonderful that it happened when it did, and we’ve been enjoying a great relationship ever since.”
Although there are definite perks that come with being introduced to your royal father, such as attending the Grand Prix, Jazmin is most focused on getting to know her 11-year-old half-brother and twin baby half brother and sister.
“We like to share family meals, have barbecues, go to the beach, everything a normal family does…except with heavy scheduling," jokes Jazmin.
The interview was accompanied by a shoot, with photographs by Michael Avedon, whose grandfather was renowned photographer, Richard Avedon - who photographed Grace Kelly.
The full interview is available to read in the August 2015 issue of Harper's Bazaar.
