Meet the woman who has become a viral internet sensation...for smashing her face into bread

bread facing.JPG

It's not uncommon for weird stuff to become viral on the internet. In 2015 alone we had such brilliance as Pizza Rat, cats wearing Halloween costumes and that weasel who took a flight on the back of a woodpecker.

But Bread Face Blog, the latest viral sensation du jour, is in a league of its own.

The Instagram feed, which runs with the hashtag #breadfacing, features continuously rolling videos of a woman taking various breads and smashing her face into them accompanied by a jazzy soundtrack. And that's literally it.

Featuring everything from a square of cornbread to a festive-themed panettone, no bread is left un-smashed.

Our personal highlights include a pretzel being face-dived to the tune of It's Just A Little Crush and a bagel getting crushed to Nelly's classic It's Getting Hot In Here, but the list is endless.

Started by an anonymous copy writer who lives in Brooklyn, the Instagram account has already amassed over 35,000 followers, with each video receiving thousands of likes and thousands more comments (one user, @iwantramen, simply wrote, "I am your biggest fan").
