Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc have announced that they will step down as joint hosts of The Great British Bake Off.
The pair said in a statement released today that they will leave the show when it moves from the BBC to Channel 4 next year.
TV's favourite dream team, who have hosted the beloved show alongside judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood since it first aired in 2010, said: "We were very shocked and saddened to learn yesterday evening that Bake Off will be moving from its home.
"We made no secret of our desire for the show to remain where it was."
News that Bake Off would be moving was announced yesterday, with Channel 4 revealing plans to air a special celebrity edition of the show to raise money for the charity Stand Up To Cancer.
It emerged today that the BBC offered production company Love Productions £15 million per year to keep GBBO, but that they would only accept offers of £25 million or more.
