Meryl Streep gave her seal of approval to a Devil Wears Prada follow-up by dropping an unexpected, yet suprisingly charming F-bomb on the red carpet.

The veteran actress was being interviewed by Access Hollywood's Shaun Robinson at the Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards in Beverly Hills, when Robinson asked Streep if she would consider reprising her role as the formidable Miranda Priestly in a sequel to the fashion film.

Streep's reaction was priceless.

"Yeh, no," the 62-year-old quickly answered. "No, is there one? I've never heard about it but, sure, I mean, I'll have to lose the f***ing weight, but yes, I guess I would do that."

Robinson and The Help's Viola Davis, who was being interviewed alongside Meryl, could not help but crack-up at the actress' disarmingly honest reaction - see the interview for yourself in the short video below...

Streep was unsurprisingly nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her role in the 2006 film, which was based on Lauren Weisberger's 2003 bestseller.

The author is currently working on a sequel entitled Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns, due for release in 2013 and set eight years after Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) hung up her It-bag and left Priestly's employ to work on a lesser-known newspaper.

The follow-up sees Andy, or “Ahn-dre-ah” as her devilish boss insisted on calling her, now working as the editor of the hottest bridal publication in the country, and inevitably running into her designer-clad foe.
