Immerse yourself in the bright lights and glamour of the Roaring Twenties with our just-released photos from this summer's adaptation of The Great Gatsby.

Baz Luhrmann's big screen version of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel, out next month, already promises to be a gilded affair with a plethora of lavishly directed party scenes.

It's clear from these new photos that attention to detail is key: nothing is left untouched, from the hazy, kaleidoscope qualities of the pier landscape to the hundreds of lanterns that line the great hall. And that's not even counting the exquisite costumes of the A-list cast, including Carey Mulligan, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Isla Fisher.

We particularly like DiCaprio's natty braces and Mulligan's diamanté headpiece seen in the pictures, below.

Take a look and let us know your thoughts on Baz Luhrmann's vision so far on Twitter, or in the comments section below.

The Great Gatsby is out in UK cinemas on 16 May. Watch the latest trailer here.
