Peaches Geldof is pregnant with her first child, she announced today (5 January).

The 22-year-old daughter of Bob Geldof said she was "thrilled" to be expecting a baby with fiance Thomas Cohen.

"Peaches Geldof and her fiance Thomas Cohen are delighted to announce that Peaches is pregnant with their first child," her spokeswoman said in a statement. "Peaches is utterly thrilled and they have the full support of both of their families who are equally excited for the baby's arrival."

Peaches got engaged to S.C.U.M. rocker Thomas last year, after dating him for a year. She was previously married to musician Max Drummey.

"Yes, I'm engaged! We don't want to get married for a couple of years yet though so don't expect me in a dress yet. I'm so happy!" the sometime-TV presenter told The Sunday Mirror last month.

There is no word yet on when the baby is due.
