Pippa Middleton poised to sign book deal

Guide to party planning in the works

Pippa Middleton is reportedly close to signing a deal to write a book on how to plan the perfect party.

The Sunday Times reported that Pippa - who, as the Duchess of Cambridge's sister, played a pivotal role in planning one of this year's biggest events, the Royal Wedding back in April - has had two meetings with publishing house HarperCollins. It is thought Pippa could make up to £1 million from the deal.

A source said, "Pippa is very serious about the project and has been going to meet publishers personally. Pippa hasn’t signed a contract yet but I don’t think it will be far off. She is a good writer but I expect she would be offered the services of an experienced ghost writer."

Yet to be named, it is thought the book will include advice on party ettiquete, decorations and food. It will also include a section on children's parties, inspired by The Party Times blog Pippa edits for her parents' party planning business.
