RESPECT. Sassy little girls channel Aretha Franklin in kick-ass dance

RESPECT.jpg

Get ready for the biggest smile on your face thanks to a trio of sassy little dancers grooving to Aretha Franklin's mega-hit Respect.

A video of the fierce school performance has taken the internet by storm, after one of the girls' mothers posted it on Facebook.

While each little mover does her best to channel the sass in Franklin's anthem, it's the central dancer, Johanna, who steals the show.

The fearless six-year-old pops her hip and shimmies with such spunk that she gets the crowd cheering throughout.

In response to the success of the video, which has been watched over 21 million times since Sunday, Johanna's mother Elissa wrote on Facebook:

"My phone has been going nuts! I can not believe any of this! Heather your dance is making my baby a star! I am floored by all of this, but what I am really proud of, is that she came home with a report card full of 3s and 4s! Go baby girl go!"

Elissa describes her daughter as "feisty" and "bubbly" and said the dance instructor purposefully chose the song knowing Johanna would be able to make it her own.

Without further ado, meet our new dance inspiration...
