Rihanna may inspire lust in legions of fans, but the pop sensation has confessed she is suffering from a drought of suitable men in her life.

"My personal life is pretty much non-existent which is not good," the Umbrella singer told US chat show host Ellen DeGeneres.

She then shocked the audience with an even more obvious reference to her lack of love life by adding, "Not for the long run, not for me, not for her," gesturing downwards.

"I’m not necessarily happy being single," she continued. "It sucks but it is what it is. I don’t want it to seem like my work is my everything."

The star dismissed rumours that she had struck up a friendship with Loncon boxer Dudley O’Shaughnessy, who was recently selected to appear in her We Found Love video.

"I’m not dating anyone right now," she insisted. "I’m not dating at all, like it’s kind of wack."

Rihanna also outlined her idea of an ideal man, for the torrent of eager candidates waiting in the sidelines.

"I like men who are aggressive but mysterious. I like them to be sure of themselves and know that they’re the man, I’m the lady," she said.

The 23-year-old is one of the biggest-selling female artists of today and has spent much of this year travelling the world with her Loud tour.
