The best A-list Instagram pictures of the week; stars gear up for Christmas and the holiday season

This week on Instagram, the stars were diving into the holiday season, pulling out their Christmas decorations and choosing their trees. While Michelle Obama went for a great big, traditional one, Victoria Beckham opted for something a little more eccentric and minimalist with an upside down tree by Iranian artist Shirazeh Houshiary.

Jessica Alba got an early break from work while spending time with her best friend in Thailand. Meanwhile, Jessica Chastain vented about her post-Thanksgiving holiday blues having jetted off to Mexico last week.

We also got a behind-the-scenes glimpse at some of the biggest events this week, from Cara Delevigne getting sentimental at the British Fashion Awards to Alessandra Ambrosio applying fake tan the night before the Victoria's Secret fashion show.
