Rose Byrne reveals sweet name for her baby boy

Rose Byrne has opted for a sweet and traditional name for her new baby boy.

The 36-year-old Bridesmaids actress and her long-term boyfriend, 45-year-old actor Bobby Cannavale, have called their first child Rocco.

Cannavale revealed the name of their son, born last Monday, on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. He said the couple chose the name after the Saint Rocco, the patron saint of the sick who is also linked to being the patron saint of dogs. Cannavale also added that both mother and baby are doing "great".

Australian actress Byrne has been dating Cannavale since 2012, and the pair have worked together on films including Annie and Spy.

The pair are fiercely private, although Cannavale referred to her as the "love of my life" when he won an Emmy award in 2013 for his supporting role in Boardwalk Empire.

This is Byrne's first child, although Cannavale has a 12-year-old son from his first marriage.
