Last week, it was confirmed that Michael Bublé and Luisana Lopilato’s eldest son, Noah, has been diagnosed with cancer at the age of three.
Now Shannen Doherty - who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in 2015 – has spoken out to send the family her best wishes, as well as her own advice for getting through this difficult time.
The 45-year-old Heathers star was informed about Noah’s diagnosis whilst appearing at the American Cancer Society’s Inaugural Giants of Science Gala in California, during an interview with ET’s Brendan Geoffrion.
She responded: “I can't even begin to touch that one, to be honest, because it's a 3-year-old… I would imagine your child having cancer is devastating as a parent.”
Doherty, who revealed that she was “nearly finished” with her own chemotherapy treatments, added that the best thing Bublé and Lopilato can do at this point is forge a good relationship with their son’s doctors – and stay positive.
“Just trust in your doctors,” she said. “Make sure you have amazing doctors, a great team, and know that organizations like the American Cancer Society [and] Stand Up to Cancer, they are doing so much good for cancer. And [there is] so much research that we have much better chances now.”
"Stay positive," she added. "That positivity, that outlook on life that you can get through something, it actually does get you through."
My crew of girls. Love you all. Thank you for being there for me and for tonight @sarahmgellar @annemkortright @amandalchurch @themamarosa @debwakninstylist @americancancersociety #courage #strength #fightlikeagirl #shandosquad #thisiswhatfiercelookslike

Doherty recently revealed that her friends – particular Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Sarah Michelle Geller – have helped “cancer suck a little less.”
The actress was originally diagnosed with the disease in the early months of 2015, but, despite undergoing a single mastectomy that same year, her cancer spread to her lymph nodes.
She told Entertainment Tonight that, despite undergoing a single mastectomy in May, her cancer had spread to her lymph nodes.
She said: “I had breast cancer that spread to the lymph nodes, and from one of my surgeries we discovered that some of the cancer cells might have gone out of the lymph nodes. So, for that reason, we are doing chemo, and after chemo, I’ll do radiotherapy.”
“The unknown is always the scariest part. Is the chemo going to work? Is the radiation going to work?” she continued.
“Everything else is manageable. Pain is manageable. You know, living without a breast is manageable. It’s the worry of your future and how your future is going to affect the people that you love.”
The actress has continued to share regular updates from her cancer journey on Instagram, sharing photographs of her shaving her head – and spending time with her friends.

Bublé, meanwhile, recently confirmed that his son is undergoing cancer treatment, and that he has put his career on hold for the moment to focus on his family.
Writing on his official Facebook page, the Haven’t Met You Yet singer said: “[Luisana] and I are going to spend all our time and attention to help Noah to get better, by suspending our professional activities for now.
“During this difficult time, we ask that you pray for him and please respect our privacy.
“We have a long road ahead of us and we hope that with the support of our family, friends, fans around the world and our faith in God, we can win this battle.”
