'Single' Pippa Middleton spends weekend with Earl

Pippa Middleton has spent the weekend with one of her old university friends, Earl George Percy, after reportedly splitting from her long-term boyfriend.

The 28-year-old was invited to George's ancestral home, Alnwick Castle - otherwise known as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter franchise - after rumours of her relationship break-up with City financier Alex Loudon surfaced last week.

Pippa and George (pictured above, second photo) are old friends and used to share a flat together when they studied at Edinburgh University.

They spent the weekend taking part in grouse shoots with a group of friends and were seen attending a Remembrance Day service at the local church in Alnwick on Sunday.

"I had noticed an attractive lady in the front row, but I did not realise it was her," David Archer, the Baptist minister, told The Telegraph. "She did look like Pippa Middleton."

George, 27, is heir to the £300million Duchy of Northumberland. He and Kate Middleton's sister have been pictured together on a number occasions after her 18-month relationship with Alex apparently came to an end.
