In contrast to the extravagant mansions A-listers typically live in, Leighton Meester's taste is much more subdued and we love her for it.

Her Los Angeles home has just been sold and the listings page gives us a sneak peek into the space she once lived in.

The 1948 home has been extensively remodelled and features white walls with soft furnishings. The grounds include a tiered garden with a saltwater pool concealed with trees and a separate pool house.

The 2,847 square feet living space - which wasn't cheap, going for $2,099,000 (£1.3million) - includes four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a mammoth master closet.

The Gossip Girl actress, 29, and singer married The O.C. star Adam Brody, 35, in 2014 and they are currently expecting their first child.

Take a tour of the star's former home below.
