Take a tour of Jennifer Lawrence's stunning new home

Jennifer Lawrence might be known for her down-to-earth attitude toward the strange world of celebrity, but she's still one of the world's biggest Hollywood stars and as such, has reportedly just spent over $7,000,000 (approx. £4,360,000) on a Beverly Hills mansion.

The impressive five-bedroom, six-bathroom home was once owned by US chat show host Ellen Degeneres, and belonged to singer Jessica Simpson from 2005 until last year, when she sold it for around £4,000,000 - making a tidy profit of around £700,000.

At 5,550 square foot, the property also houses a gym, a master bedroom with a deck looking out onto the garden, a swimming pool and a walled courtyard with koi pond.

Jen said in an interview last year she drove a distinctly un-Hollywood Volkswagon car and lived in Santa Monica because she had been brought up to know the value of money, telling Fabulous magazine that she couldn't even bring herself to pay inflated hotel mini-bar prices: "I was raised to have value for money, to have respect for money, even though you have a lot of it. That's why mini-bars are difficult, because it's like yes, I can afford a $6 Snickers bar, but there's just something wrong with that!"

However, she seems to have finally joined the Hollywood elite with this new home, neighbouring stars such as Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. See all the pics here.
