US election: the most uplifting messages of hope on social media

The unthinkable has happened and Donald Trump has beaten Hillary Clinton in the race for US presidency.

But, for those who are still in shock, social media may offer a small shred of comfort, as people take to Twitter to rally together in the face of the news.
