“She’s so girly… and she can run in high heels”: Victoria Beckham on her mother-daughter bond with Harper

Victoria Beckham is one of the biggest names in the fashion world, thanks to her impeccable style and flourishing design business.

Now, speaking on ITV’s This Morning, the 42-year-old has revealed that her youngest child, five-year-old Harper, is already following in her footsteps.

And, just like her mum, the little girl is already fond of makeup and high heels.

Beckham said: “Harper loves beauty. She loves it, I’m very close with all of the children but the great thing about Harper being a little girl, she loves to play with makeup and that’s really great mother and daughter time.”

The original Posh Spice added: “She is very, very girly, she also loves to run around in the garden with her brothers and play football - but she is very, very feminine and she loves playing with makeup and my clothes as well.

“She has been able run in platforms for a few years right now, she can wear heels like most grown ups cannot.”

While the mother-of-four added that her sons - Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 13, and Cruz, 11 – are not interested in the contents of her makeup drawer, she explained that it's a different story when it comes to her husband David.

“David does steal my beauty products,” she said.

“It doesn’t annoy me. He looks so beautiful that, no, it doesn’t annoy me.”

We imagine there are a fair few people in the world who would agree with her on that.

During the interview, Beckham was asked whether she regretted some of her fashion and beauty choices from her Spice Girls days of old.

She responded: “I don’t consider anything a beauty fail. I’ve learnt so much over the years, I believe everything is good and you can learn from experience.”

Beckham went on to speak about her upcoming beauty collection with Estée Lauder, and revealed her top beauty secrets, which involve rubbing coconut oil all over her body, thoroughly removing her make-up before bed, and drinking lots of water.

When asked what she hopes her lasting legacy will be, she explained: "I would like people to think of me as someone who really celebrated being a woman, being a woman that makes the best of what she has, a woman that wanted to reach women, no matter how young or old, whatever shape or size or wherever you are from.

"I want to make women to feel like the best version of themselves and empower them.”
