The trailer for The Iron Lady, the much-anticipated film depicting Meryl Streep as Britain's ex Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, has been released.

Starring the Oscar-winning Streep, Jim Broadbent as Denis Thatcher and Richard E Grant, the film, directed by Phyllida LLoyd, looks at the life - in and out of office - of the former PM, a woman nicknamed 'The Iron Lady' for her uncompromising stance on political issues. Who can forget the iconic phrase, 'This lady's not for turning''?

Watch the trailer below for a sneak preview of The Iron Lady. The film will go on general release in the UK early next year. Unsurprisingly, Oscar nominations are already being predicted...
