A new trailer for Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby has been unveiled ahead of this summer's hotly anticipated release.

The film, starring Carey Mulligan and Leonardo DiCaprio with music from Beyoncé and Lana Del Rey, promises an abundance of lavish costumes and gilded Art Deco design.

The new trailer features Baz Luhrmann's iconic use of colour and kaleidoscope shots, particularly in the party scenes for which F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel is famed.

The Great Gatsby is out in UK cinemas on 16 May
