If you also spent your student days dreaming of lounging by the pool in a Newport Beach mansion just like The O.C. characters Marissa Cooper, Summer Roberts and Seth Cohen, you’re in luck.
The mansion which served as the Cohen family home is up for sale.
We’ve had a slightly rude awakening however, as the property listing reveals that the dream home is actually in Malibu, rather than Newport Beach, Orange County where the show was set.
And as it turns out, the huge house only served as the exterior of the Cohen home.
But if you can make your peace with that and stump up £4,000,000, it could still be yours.
With four acres of parkland, six bedrooms, a winding outdoor pool, hot tub and massive chef's kitchen, we think we’d be willing to forgive and forget.

The swimming pool
A major feature of the mansion, the heated infinity pool winds through a large part of the garden and sits right next to a spa grade hot tub. It's hard not to see yourself right there, soaking up the sun this very moment. The slightly sad news however, is that the pool house Ryan Atwood spent many an afternoon brooding in, isn't there. It's actually a few houses further down Ocean Breeze Drive, along with the Cohen kitchen.
The mansion spreads itself over four acres of land, with plenty of that being left as open grassy space. There's also a patio with a double bed sun lounger, outdoor dining area, outdoor BBQ and plenty of space for hosting garden parties. Did we mention the view?
Where do we begin? There are six bedrooms with a master suite that opens out onto a balcony, a sun room and library, five full bathrooms, and views from the windows of rolling hills on one side and the ocean on the other. The huge kitchen is also built to chef standard, and opens out onto an eating area with a glass ceiling.
