Celia graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Industrial Design.
She has successfully designed, developed and launched a number of innovative concepts including her ergonomic cookware range Doctor Cook, for which she was awarded the title of European Female Designer of the Year in 2007.
The concept for the ergonomic cookware line came about when she noticed her grandmother, who was suffering from osteoarthritis, struggling to lift a hot and heavy pan.
Having been through the process of turning an ingenious idea into a successful start-up, Celia now works with small business owners and large corporations to improve their innovation strategies.
In her book From Brainwave to Business, Celia encourages people to follow their dreams and start a successful business based on their brilliant brainwaves. The guide has been nominated for the CMI Management Book of the Year award. The winning book will be announced on 6 February at the British Library in London.
